The U-12 girls rocked the Fall league going 5 and 1 and winning the Fall League Championship. Way to go girls, the only game they lost was to the Casper U-12 team and it has been close each of the three times we played this fall. The Casper team has been a constant reminder of the hard work we need to do.
The U-12 girls have played in the Gold Division for an entire year now, and we have been competetive, winning second in the Casper Fall Classic and winning the League this Fall. Good job girls, your hard work and dedication is paying off great dividends and more is to come.
See ya soon, Coach Myers!!! :)

We had a great season and a great time. We ended the year 11-2-2. We had 56 Goals for and 33 against. We were Champions at the Casper Fall Classic and took 2nd in league play. Thanks to our players for their hard work and effort! We ended the season with a 6-1 victory over Sheridan and a 6-5 victory against Jackson. I like the Jackson coach and my kids are friends with a few of their players. Although they were beating us 5-0 well before halftime today, the day was to be ours in the end. GOOD JOB!
Special thanks to Drew Leemon and Shannon and Julie Watts. (note to players: Julie Watts will school you up)
Strikers, stay in shape, stay busy..See you in the Spring.
Strikers! OH YEAH!

Our team had a great weekend in Jackson. We won our first three games. We defeated Jackson, Idaho Swoosh and the Bozeman Blitz U-13 team. Unfortunately we lost in the semi-finals to the Bozeman Blitz U-14 team in a shootout after being tied 3-3 after regulation and overtime. It was nice to play some out of state teams and we matched up very well.
I really enjoyed watching the other Lander Striker teams, especially the U-10 boys. They won the championship in exciting fashion. Congratulations!
As a coach, one center ref had to reprimand me at halftime because I was a bit out of control on the sideline. It was not my fault, the kids did all they could the first fifteen minutes to aggravate me. Oh well, I guess people are just not ready for a ‘Eastern European’ style coach. I will try to tone it dowm.
Good Luck all Strikers this last league weekend.

U12 Boys had a very good weekend in Casper continuing their work on moving the ball around the field. But, it was pure hustle and defensive prowess that allowed them to capture second.
Game 1: Lander 2 - Worland 2
Game 2: Lander 9 - Casper 0
Game 3: Lander 6 - Jackson 0
Championship Game: Overtime: Lander 1 - Worland 4 (MVP Caleb Wilson)
Th U-14 Strikers had a great weekend, coming home with the Championship Trophy from the Casper Fall Classic. Every single U-14 Striker played to their full potential and gave 100% to meet our goal. Our field play reached a whole new level compared to our first league weekend. Excellent passing, change of direction, drop balls and aggressive play from front to back lead us to the championship.
Game 1: Lander -5 Casper U-13 -1 MVP Sean Watts
Game 2: Lander -3 Casper U-14 -2 MVP Adrian Ion
Game 3: Lander -6 Sheridan -0 MVP Zach Tilton, Sam Poitras
Game 4: Lander -2 Jackson -2
Championship: Lander -2 Jackson -1 MVP every member of our team
Lander U-14 Striker MVP is not the person that scores the most. MVP is the player that shows a level of play above and beyond the talent and skill they have shown before.
Special thanks to assistant coaches Drew Leemon and Shannon Watts and our parent/fans for all their support!

U10 Boys regularly scheduled practice for Thursday 9/11 is cancelled due to South Open House.
The Casper Tournament schedule is updated as of 9/10/08 - please see attached. Please refer to http://www.cyslonline.com/tournaments.html just in case it changes again. Players should be on the field ready to play 30 minutes prior to start time for games.
We had a great first weekend of league play. We beat a very talented and skillful Jackson team 3-2 in our first game and tied them 2-2 in the second game. We had excellent play across the field from many players and aggressive play from our goalies, Joshua and Caleb. With only 13 on our roster, all players were asked to dig deep. Goals were scored by Adrian, Kyle Leemon and Eli. The MVP was was Noah Lowham.
